About Us

Teenopinions.org is a platform for teens and tweens worldwide to share their opinions, ideas, reflections and perspectives with the world.

Our Mission

Give every teen and tween an opportunity to freely publish their perspectives in a non-competitive environment.

Our Core Principles

  • Our goal is to publish every opinion, helping the authors along if needed.
  • We believe in the passion and willingness of teens to create a global community of peers who love to write and share opinions!
  • We provide a welcoming and encouraging place for teens to share their opinions.
  • We believe writing is a valuable life skill and the best way to learn is to put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard and just write!
  • We are self-funded with our scholarships and pocket money and do not plan to run advertisements to operate our site.

Our Policies

  • We are not a forum for debating ideas. We leave that to the well established social media sites. Contrarian opinions written as posts are welcome.
  • We do not tolerate bullying. Comments are moderated to maintain a respectful environment.
  • We do allow rating of posts and request you to think very hard before giving a low rating to a fellow teen’s post.
  • We do not tolerate plagiarism. Posts found in violation will be removed.

Meet the Founders

TeenOpinions.org was conceived in mid-2018. Arin Parsa, a then fifth-grader, and Aditya Indla, a then eighth-grader and a mentor to a budding Arin, bonded over a shared interest in quizbowl, history, science, and politics. They often engaged in spirited discussions among themselves and with fellow teens on a variety of topics. In the summer of 2019, they had enriching academic experiences and realized they shared a love of writing as well. They wished to share their writings and opinions with more friends and realized the need for a forum for young voices. Teen Opinions Matter was officially born in 2019. In its first year, the duo reached out to their friends to get contribution. Organically, many teens started to gravitate towards the open and non-competitive approach of TeenOpinions.org.

Arin Parsa who is the Editor-in-Chief got TeenOpinions.org listed on the NY Times Learning Network in 2020! Today, with global readership over 15+ countries,  contributions from diverse teens, and ranked #1 on Google for teen opinions,  TeenOpinions.org is one of the favorite destinations for teens who love to voice their opinions to a global audience!
